well it is wet and rainy and even a bit chilly today here, so I have had to pull a photo out of the archives ;-)
This is our dog Fergus (he is actually a long haired border collie with a haircut) lying in the shade of the trees at my inlaws farm. To see more shadow shots go here
Also, what a week for cockatoos, this is what came to say hi on our deck yesterday morning!! Lucas thinks he lives at a bird park with black cockies on Friday and then this gorgeous sulfur crested one yesterday!!(I had to borrow this photo as the one I took has disappeared, so no credit to me for this shot altho this is about how close he was!! photo by Louise Docker from sydney, Australia)
The Handmade Christmas Ornament Swap is closed now and I will be posting the list a bit later today for everyone so they can get to know their swap partners.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Today for us will be filled with Bathurst V8s (this is a big car race in Australia), my husband has already set up the TV in the driveway so he can watch it while working on his car... what a dag!
xxEm
Aw Fergus! He looks a bit sad in this picture. Was he unhappy with his haircut?
ReplyDeleteI was just gonna ask ya if he was a Border Collie or an Australian Shepherd, but then I read your notes...got a buzz did he, I buzzed a Border Collie just last week in the shop. He looks so cumfy there in the shade, cute shot.

Very cute doggy in the shadows!..and another lovely 'cocky'! Happy Sunday :D
ReplyDeleteLove the dappled shadows of the limbs..sweet doggie! Wish I had snuck over here sooner I would have joined in the swap. Oh well, next year! BTW my son loved the comment you left on my SS.
ReplyDeleteHe wasnt sad, just tired.. he i a city kid you see and whenever we head out to the country he really wears himself out and then sleeps for around 3 days when we return home LOL.. he gets a haircut every year before summer due to the heat and also ticks in our area.
ReplyDeletepoor puppy - looks like he needs attention....or rescued from all of those tree branches!!
ReplyDeleteFun Shadow Shot!

I especially enjoyed enlarging this to see Fergus among all the lovely shadows.
ReplyDeleteFergus doesn't look sad to me. He looks content there napping in the cool shadows. He found a great spot to recharge! Lucky you having visits from the cocky. I see a lot in my area, but none up that close. Your hubby does sound like a dag! At least he took the noise of the V8s outside with him :)
ReplyDeleteLove the intricate shadows around Fergus! An intriguing pic!
ReplyDeleteGreat Shadow shot and love the bird picture..wish something like that would fly around here..
ReplyDeletea city boarder collie on a farm for the day..I can only imagine ;) the instincts in this breed are amazing..I love the picture of him resting in the shadows :)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting shadows, and a sweet dog.
ReplyDeleteWonderful riot of shadows and the perfect, cool place for Fergus to lay! Love the cockatoo too!
ReplyDeleteCool shadow shot!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to be able to pull photos from the archives. I love your shadow shot. One of my dogs is part small border collie. She looks exactly like yours with her short haircut, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Shadow Shot Sunday!

ReplyDeleteCute shadow shot Em!
ReplyDeleteAnd your husband makes me laugh!!! Oh, too much 'car' is never enough obviously!! hee hee
Wish that was me laying in the shadows with nothing to do :)
ReplyDeleteFergus is a pretty dog. Or should I say handsome? Glad he has so much fun in the country.
