At my house...

The calm is continuing at our place this week (or that's what I am hoping for). We had a really great weekend, I got the chance to catch up on some orders, we spent a lovely Saturday night with family and also celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary something which I am SO proud to say. In this day and age I just don't know that many people that have been married (or even together) for many years. With both Brad and I coming from parents who weren't together as we were growing up, our marriage is something we are both really proud of (not saying its always easy but I think those though times have also made for a better marriage too).

On Sunday my big boys headed off to the Motorbikes and had an awesome time and I even snuck in a little afternoon nap with the littlest one while the house was nice and quiet. Sax was SO excited he go to sit on a proper race bike (although he was a bit upset when he asked Brad if they could bring it home with them and the answer was no) I think maybe he needs to do a little bit more growing before we can even consider a motorbike.
Today we are hoping to go and catch up with some friends at the park for afternoon tea, so I am just hoping the rain clouds blow over by then. Just about to pop a batch of cupcakes in the oven and I might even try and whip up a batch of Passionfruit cookies too.

Also just wanted to share a pic I received this morning from one of my etsy customers. I always LOVE to see how people have used my toppers, and its always great to get some lovely feedback! Whatever you are up to this week, I hope you have a great one and get to snuggle those closest to you

Don't forget to go and check out some more 'At my house' posts over at the lovely Lou's

Bigger than Ben Hur...

I am sure than is what Brad thinks everytime I have an idea and I do admit I tend to get a bit carried away some times (ok a lot of the time) Anyway we have been talking forever about building Saxon a cubby house in the backyard but I guess with all my talk of needed it to be two stories with a sandpit, a fort and matching flags with the boys names on them I totally freaked poor Brad out and the topic has been mentioned less and less. But on a recent trip to Bunnings we were lucky enough to find a cute little cottage cubby house selling for a bargain price so Brad had no choice, especially as Sax is turning 3 next week to give in to us :)

So it has got a little out of hand (the letter box and garden bed went in today) but Sax absolutely loves it and I am sure that he and Xavier are going to get hours of fun playing in the yard :) and it was so nice to just spend the whole weekend together outside doing stuff (even Xav had a ball)
I will share a completed picture (unfortunately I didn't check the camera today and took a whole heap of pics without the memory card in)

Have a great week, its all pirate party planning mode here

It's Magnetic...

Well I started my Bristyle Indie Market Prep in earnest on the weekend (nothing like last minute) and it was a gluing frenzy at our place yesterday

In an effort to use some of the supplies I have had lurking about I created these quite little glass bead magnets. They will be joining the other favorites on our magnet display board. They are just so cute I really don't want to part with them but I guess I will bring them along ;P
1. Glass Bead Magnets 2. Computer Keyboard magnets 3. Car Key Magnets 4. Mini Button Covered Magnets

All our magnets are made using small but super strong magnets, guaranteed to hold at least 6 A4 Sheets on your fridge and all (except the car sets) come in a cute little silver gift tin just perfect as little Christmas Pressies :)

I also got the chance to have a play with some old Lego blocks that my brother brought me whilst op shopping a few months ago. It was hard to get them away from Sax but in the end he was happy to let me have a few to turn into cute little rings (time permitting there maybe some brooches and magnets too, we'll see)

Talks are also underway with my fantastic hubby re displays, on the list so far is a little boy cut out just the right size to display our range of super hero capes and a little rack for those cute little onesies. Hopefully our display will start coming together next weekend and I will post you some pics early next week.

Any way better get back to it

take care, Bel x

p.s Also just wanted to wish my amazing Hubby a very very Happy Birthday today! Lots of love me and the boys xxx (yes I am making cream puffs for dessert!)

Sunday Shadow Shot #50

Well its a house of Blue and Gold at our place today. My husband is a mad Parramatta Eels supporter (as is his whole family) and they are playing in the Rugby Grand Final today so I thought it fitting that I shared a pic of my hubby all dressed up in his blue and gold many years ago. and here is the next generation...
I even had to make some Blue and Gold CupcakesDont forget to check out all the other Sunday shadow shots over at Hey Harriets

Go Parra!!!

Market preps underway...

Well my market preparations for this weekends Racecourse Rd Festival are well and truly underway. Still a bit of stock to finish off but so far I am really happy with how everything is looking
It definitely helps to have an amazing husband who when I ramble ideas off on how I want to display things he actually makes those ideas come to life (just like this stand he whipped up to display our new range of magnets on)

I will post pics later in the week when everything is finished and don't forget if you are in the area make sure you come down and say Hi its set to be a huge day and I will be sharing a stall with the lovely Ali from Jellygnite

Family Time...

Well I know I am always saying it, but it really has been a busy few weeks in our house with no sign if things slowing down either at least not until Christmas I reckon :(

Firstly I am very proud to say Brad & I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary recently. I have to say it’s something I guess I never really thought of all those years ago and it feels like a lifetime since that magical day, but it has been an amazing journey. I am so excited to see what the next 10 years brings us, especially seeing as our family has grown from 2 to 4 members so excitement is guaranteed ;) Like any marriage we have had our ups and downs but I think it such an achievement and I can honestly say I love Brad more today than I ever thought possible ♥
(no laughing at the pic, we were really young ok and IT was a whole 10 years ago and before lack of sleep ;)
Brad finally had some time off from work last week and it was so nice for him to be able to spend some time at home with his boys and for us to go and have some ‘family outings’ and also catch up on some sleep. We took the boys to visit the Museum at Southbank. Something we have wanted to do for ages but just never seem to find the time to do it and Sax had a ball! He got to experience he’s very first train trip...
and even got to have a play in the parklands afterwards which helped burn off some energy and practice some tree climbing before we boarded the train for the trip home.

Brad also found some time to do some work on our veggie gardens. The weather has been warming up here quite quickly so we thought we better get planting before that real summer heat hits us. It’s all a bit of trial and error but I am happy to say our little seedlings seem to be fairing quite well and we even had a little bit of rain early one morning this week which they loved. We have planted a wide of variety of things including Celery, Tomatoes, Capsicums, Broccoli, Spinach, Cucumbers and some herbsI will definitely post some more pics once there is something exciting to see ;)

I even got a little bit of me time, and I was such a much happier mummy to be able to do some crafting again. It feels like ages since I have had the time to do anything that I enjoy and doesn’t involve cleaning or organising someone else. Like any crafter there seems to be a million ideas floating around in my head, so it was great to start making some of them a reality. Plus as an added bonus I even got to do some baking and whipped up a batch of my Nan’s famous Cream Puffs (I seriously forgot how good these tasted and surprisingly how easy they were to make)

It’s hard to believe but Xavier is 3 months old today, I knew the time was flying by but I seriously must have been half asleep lately because it feels like only yesterday we were driving to the hospital anxiously awaiting the arrival our baby boy.

Anyway, I best be going I have a two year climbing all over me that I promised we would make some cupcakes and a bub with the hiccups. Lots more to share so I will try and post again real soon ☺

Take care, Bel x
