At my house...

Well where do I start, I cant believe it is the first of November today it feels like I've been away so long (but missed out on the holiday) things have been ridiculously busy round here but we have made some time for a little fun too. I find I am starting to relax a little more and have come to the conclusion I don’t always have to be super mum, its ok if the folding doesn’t get done straight away ( it certainly hasn’t been lately) and the dishwasher isn’t unstacked by 7am...

We have been doing some work on our house lately (do you find with Christmas looming you try and get all those half started jobs completed? we seem to do this every year and this year is no exception). My amazing hubby is building a lovely back deck at our place so construction is under way. First step was jack hammering our existing cement slab (something Sax had a ball helping with)

We’ve been doing quite a bit of baking... Playing in LOTS of mud (can’t believe the weather we’ve been having of late, we are still sleeping under the quilt and its November today!)
A little bit of swinging on the days when the sun has decided to make an appearance...

And we even managed a trip down to Byron for day a few weeks ago for a lovely day at the beach

So all in all, whilst things have been busy and I haven’t quite been able to keep up with everything (like blogging) things are all well and were making do with what we can get done

I still have LOTS of icing news to share with you too and I will be back tomorrow with a little giveaway so stay tuned but for now its of to bed

Nite, Bel x

p.s don't forget to pop along to Lou's and see what all the other girls have been up to (and check out that cute little button in my tool bar, play along and you can have use one too :)

Also please excuse the look of my blog at the moment, she will be undergoing a little summer surgery and may be moving house and will hopefully start 2011 with a fresh new look but for now I've been playing with the blogger templates

At my house...

The calm is continuing at our place this week (or that's what I am hoping for). We had a really great weekend, I got the chance to catch up on some orders, we spent a lovely Saturday night with family and also celebrated our 11th Wedding Anniversary something which I am SO proud to say. In this day and age I just don't know that many people that have been married (or even together) for many years. With both Brad and I coming from parents who weren't together as we were growing up, our marriage is something we are both really proud of (not saying its always easy but I think those though times have also made for a better marriage too).

On Sunday my big boys headed off to the Motorbikes and had an awesome time and I even snuck in a little afternoon nap with the littlest one while the house was nice and quiet. Sax was SO excited he go to sit on a proper race bike (although he was a bit upset when he asked Brad if they could bring it home with them and the answer was no) I think maybe he needs to do a little bit more growing before we can even consider a motorbike.
Today we are hoping to go and catch up with some friends at the park for afternoon tea, so I am just hoping the rain clouds blow over by then. Just about to pop a batch of cupcakes in the oven and I might even try and whip up a batch of Passionfruit cookies too.

Also just wanted to share a pic I received this morning from one of my etsy customers. I always LOVE to see how people have used my toppers, and its always great to get some lovely feedback! Whatever you are up to this week, I hope you have a great one and get to snuggle those closest to you

Don't forget to go and check out some more 'At my house' posts over at the lovely Lou's

Wizard of Oz, Dorothy Cake

Just thought I would share another cake I recently made for a little girls 4th birthday...

Anouk's Princess Party!

I recently made a Princess Belle cake for our very good friends little girl, Anouk who was turning 4! It was so much fun to make this cake and the look on the birthday girls face was all I needed to say thanks (actually I was also pretty excited to hear another little girl, also 4 ask her mum where was the cake? so I thought I had done my job well) I topped off the cake with some chocolate cupcakes with little daisy toppers in red and pink and finished with some shimmer powder which suited the party theme beautifully.

Anouk made a very cute 4 year old and was super cute in her beautiful Musketeer dress (with rip off cape) that her mum Kate lovingly made for her (it really was amazing, with the actual insignia from the movie and all!)

The party decorations looked lovely and the cute tissue pom poms hanging from the frangipanni tree added a beautiful touch to the look.

and the food looked amazing too. Fairy bread (of course) little gingerbread biscuits, sandwiches and chocolate and freckle covered strawberries (which the Nana's were a bit horrified over ;)

Even my little dinosaur and Spider man had a great day, along with Anouks super cute little brother Oscar!

Can't wait to see what Anouk wants for her 5th birthday

More enticing icing Parties...

A few more enticing icing parties, I just had to share with you!

Super cute Elijah recently turned one with a Dinosaur inspired themed birthday and what a cute little Dino he made too ;)These little frogs ventured all the way over to the US to help a joint birthday shared between two one year olds...
I was super excited to create an 'Alice' inspired mini topper set for a very cute little girls 4th birthday party...

And last but definitely not least, this Masquerade Ball Inspired set helped a local Brissy girl celebrate her birthday in style...
More too come so stay tuned...
