Hoot Hoot!

Yep its that time of year again when the Brown Owls start their meet ups again. I have to say apart from the rainy weather I had such a lovely morning today catching up with some 'old' owls as well as meeting some lovely new ones. I think it is going to be an exciting year ahead.
And what better excuse is there than a morning tea to do some baking. Today I made some yummy Carrot and Pineapple cakes with Cream Cheese Frosting and I have to say they were yum!
What's that I hear you ask? Where did you get those absolutely adorable cupcake wrappers, well none other than an amazing ETSY store called 'Go Make Me'. I insist you go right there now and check it out they have the cutest downloadable cards and stationary. I made a few purchases a couple of weeks ago and cant wait to try some more out ;)

Hi there!!

Hi everyone,
well Bel has been doing such a great job keeping the Blog rolling, that I felt I would just step back and watch for a while. As Bel's new venture is a solo one (with lots of help from her boys of course) we will be doing "our own thing" as far as crafty stuff goes!!
I have started a new blog over here called Time 2 Squeeze all about trying to squeeze as much out of every minute as possible.

Some new creations...

Well in between making orders this week I have also been having a play with some new ideas...Brown Owl's have their first catch up this weekend, so some cupcakes are definitely in order for morning tea. I am thinking little hummingbird cakes with cream cheese icing but we will have to see ;)
Playing with those letters got me thinking it would be cool to have words etc on cupcakes, so I will be listing both the Alphabet and Numbers in the store your choice of colours/combination for $6.95 for 12 and then only 50c a character after that in the next few days.
And with Easter just a hop, skip and a jump around the corner the email's have started coming in for Easter orders so at this stage we have some cute little bunnies holding carrots and some mini bunnies which look super cute on mini cupcakes. I think Sax might be taking some of these along to kindy

I do have some other idea's I've been working on including a lady bug and a mobile phone but struggling to get good pics as its overcast and rainy here, maybe on the weekend the sun will come out

Partying it up...

Well I am very excited to have done some orders recently for some fellow BrisStylettes and have had my creations as features at their families birthday celebrations...I am also very excited to have filled a wedding order this week, which is on its way to the states tomorrow. I can't wait to see some pics of how it all turns out.
In between fighting off the summer sniffles and trying to keep a happy household this week I have also been playing with LOTS of new designs. I will definitely be back tomorrow with some pics as I need some advice ;)

The valentine's day celebrations are all pretty low key at our place today, just hanging out with the boys (and maybe a little house cleaning :(

Happy Birthday!

It's hard to believe Saxon is 3 years old today...

It feels like he has been apart of our family forever and it is hard to remember the time before he arrived. If only someone had of told me before we had him all the things we were missing out on I would have laughed out loud, but now I don't know what I would do with out him (even on those trying days) he has filled a hole on our lives that I guess we never knew needed filling and has made Brad and I better people for it.

A'hoy there me hearties!!!

Well an absolutley great day was had by one and all on Saturday! Sax had such a great time, all the kids played really well together and my Cupcakes and Ginger Pirates were a hit! We were very lucky we had the party on Saturday as it has been raining ever since Saturday night and our backyard was under a couple in inches if water Sunday morning...

It was so cute to see all the kids dressed up and they all sat still for a whole 5 secs while I explained the rules of the treasure hunt :)
Still can't believe Sax will be 3 years old tomorrow, feels like only yesterday we were excited to find out we were having a baby

I will be back later with some more icing pics, I was inspired yesterday and have created a new 'pirate party set' which will be in the shop this week

Happy Days...

Today I had one of those exhausting but rewarding days. It is Saxon's 3rd birthday party tomorrow and he chose a pirate theme, so today I made some super cute priate cupcakes and a skull and cross bones cake.

I am SO happy with how these little guys turned out and wish now that I had done more than 12...
But seeing as I was so happy with how they turned out I thought I would have a quick play and make up a proto type cake topper for my Enticing Icing store, so stay tuned for these little guys to be listed in the next few weeks.
