At my house
I have been meaning to play along with 'at my house' from 'Buttons by Lou Lou' for ages, so this week while we are taking the time to enjoy a bit of sunshine outside I thought it was the perfect time to start playing along

Change of Plans...
Well I know I am always saying how busy things are, but really it has been an insanely busy couple of weeks and yesterday was planned to be another jam packed day, with Kindy drop off, Meetings and the like. But after Sax had a fall yesterday and got a bump on his head (He's fine now) all that went out the window, so instead we had a lovely day getting back in our Pj's, snuggling on the lounge reading books and even managing a Nana nap. Then to make the day even better, Brad came home early to catch up on some paperwork from home, but it was nice to just have his presence around while we lounged.
I even managed to whip up a loaf of Banana bread with Choc chips and cups of tea for afternoon tea.
Bliss!

ETSY Love...
I was lucky enough last week to be featured in not one but two ETSY treasuries. Unfortunately I didn't get around quick enough to share you the link for the first one, but the second one 'Sweet Land of Liberty' is still live. If you have the chance go and check it out!
Have a happy week, Bel x

The Wedding...
I was honored to be asked by one of my best friends to make her wedding cake, hence the trip to Adelaide recently. I don't think I have ever been so nervous or stressed about making anything (normally I think I am a pretty confident cook) although when you are making something for someone who means so much to you, on their special day it was quite overwhelming. Hence to say, it all worked out SO well in the end and the wedding was absolutely beautiful, and once I had the cakes set up at the reception I actually got to relax for the day.
Cassie & Dwayne both looked amazing, and it was such a lovely day!
Plus I was SO happy with how the cake and cupcakes turned out and got lots of lovely comments during the night.
The little boxes for the guests to take their cakes home in was a lovely touch too.
I wish Cassie and Dwayne all the very best for a long and happy life together! Whilst marriage brings you ups and downs I have to say being married myself for nearly 11 years, having someone by your side to share the good and bad days is one of the best things life has to offer :)

The Hill...
Well it had been quite a while since we had been back to Broken Hill, so it was nice to get back to catch up with some family and friends for a few days (although I have to say I still don't really like the 5 hour drive from Adelaide)
The boys had a great time getting spoilt by nanny and poppy and we even got the chance to do a little bit of sight seeing.
Brad's mum even had a big feed of Yabbies waiting for us on our arrival. I would like to think that she got them especially for my birthday, but I think it was more to spoil her favorite son ;)
I'm still not sure how he managed it but Sax even convinced his nan to go on a camel ride with him, and I have to say I think going for a ride on 'Chester the Camel' was one of the big highlights of his whole trip!
There was still so much more we could have done and people we could have seen but time got away from us so quickly that it was time to head back to Adelaide (and endure the delightful car trip all over again).
